A mother named Mrs. Ugo Enyinnaya has expressed concern about the alleged assault of her 4-year-old daughter, Miss Chidera, by a man known as Pastor Uche Arua, in Amaogudu Abiriba, Ohafia Local Government Area, Abia State. This is a tragic case of child defilement.
Mrs. Enyinnaya described how the accused, a teacher at St. Andrews Presbyterian Church, allegedly enticed her daughter to his home and sexually assaulted her on October 24, 2024, during an appearance on the podcast program "Talk Make I Talk" with Fakzy on Thursday, March 6, 2024. She claims that the suspect took the child under false pretenses of showing her his home after claiming to be a relative of Ebem Ohafia.
"Chidera later told me what he did to her—how he silenced her and gave her snacks," explained Mrs. Enyinnaya. She reported the incident to the police right away after it happened. The culprit, however, first avoided being taken into custody. He was spotted a few days later going into the church where he lectures, but instead of surrendering, he tried to avoid accountability. He was eventually apprehended and turned over to the police in Abiriba before being taken to the State Criminal Investigation Department (CID) in Umuahia, thanks to the intervention of local youths.
Delays and frustrations have plagued the case despite the arrest. Due to distance and budgetary limitations, Mrs. Enyinnaya revealed that she was not notified in advance of the first court hearing, which took place on December 18, 2024.

The case saw yet another setback when the designated police inspector did not show up for the second hearing, which was held at Magistrate Court 11, Umuahia, on February 21, 2025.
"I want justice for my daughter." However, the lawyer in charge of the case has informed us that he will not pursue the matter further unless we offer a specific sum of money," Mrs. Enyinnaya begged. He even proposed that since we couldn't afford it, we let the man go.
She voiced concern that, in the absence of public engagement, the case might be dropped, freeing the suspect.
Mrs. Enyinnaya is urging the government, human rights groups, and well-meaning Nigerians to stand with her in her pursuit of justice and hold the offender accountable.
"Justice is what Little Chidera desires! Refuse rape! This could happen to another innocent youngster if justice is not done. She let out a cry.
